Five days a week
She'd be an annoyance, sulking of being unable to see him on the weekends.
Even after she was able to see him everyday of the week,
She'd make petty excuses and say she missed him.
After the passing of 3 years, all she was able to see of him was once a week.
Sometimes it would be stretched to a fortnight.
Eventually, she got accustomed to it,
It was a norm, a routine, nothing unusual
Now she knows why, it was merely training.
Training her to withstand the anguish
of being incapable of seeing him since the
4th of July.
