Once again, Heehyang 희향 and I woke up in the afternoon (it was great). Once we were ready, we hopped on the bus and headed to have more adventure! Our initial plan was to head to Myeongdong 명동 but it started to rain after awhile and we weren't near the next bus transfer. Then we also considered that by the time we'd get there, it would be quite late in the afternoon.
Instead, we met up with two of her friends (who we kinda bumped into really). Ye Jin 에진 and Ara 아라! Ara saw us running past in the rain and she gave Heehyang a call and we decided to chat over food.
Got some delicious kimbap 김밥 with an amazing bowl of cheese ddeokbokki 떡볶이 치즈 which was immediately attacked by all of us so the photo is not available.
Also, we had some sundae 순대 which is a type of blood sausage which contains steamed pork/cow intestines in them. It has a jelly-like texture and is really delicious!
We bid them farewell and headed to the Guri Traditional Market 구리전통시장 where we walked around just buying little souvenirs and began our hunt for a nail parlour.
We got our nails done at Iris! Something I haven't done in over two years (it's pricey to get them done and even though I have nail polish at home it's really difficult to find time to do them myself). Since Heehyang found a voucher for it, I managed to save some money! Was pretty happy with the result and they were extremely quick!
We ended the day with more food and Heehyang couldn't wait so she snacked on beef jerky (which she bought just before entering the restaurant) while waiting for the dinner to arrive.
The gobchang 곱창 arrived! An extremely delicious dish of grilled intestines seasoned with a spicy sauce with slices of rice cake 떡 and vegetables. It was by far one of the best intestines I've had. To those who haven't tried intestines in their life and are rather sceptical about how it would taste, don't be - it's AWESOME.
