After three long years, I finally got to meet up with Kaelan again! We've known each other since we were 13 and the last time we met each other was in June 2013. Even though he has been in London for the past three years, for some reason I didn't go to visit him (my bad). So he kindly popped over to Dublin this morning at an insanely early flight so he could maximise his short visit here.
His flight got delayed so we had to power walk it to San Lorenzo's as I booked us a table for 10:30AM and we arrived just in time! San Lorenzo's are well known for their Brunch of Champions and indeed it was absolutely packed with no empty seat in sight. I got the nomalicious avocado on toast along with poached eggs, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes.
While Kaekae got the nachos with guacamole and beans with minced meat.
I brought him around the city centre in the neverending drizzle but we got to hit most of the main parts in Dublin. I first gave him a full tour of Trinity College Dublin and then we headed to St. Stephen's Green Park.
Next up was the Dublin Castle and the Chester Beatty Library!
And of course a stroll through Temple Bar.
Most of the time we were hiding under brollies so we didn't take as many photos as we probably should have. It was really great to catch up with him over basically what the past three years have been like as well as what may come in the near future as he's graduating very soon.
It feels amazing that even though we haven't talked in ages nor seen each other, our friendship feels like it has not changed. So glad to see that you're doing so well in life and can't wait to hear more over the next 24 hours :)
